Good Morning Class 11 and 12! Here is your daily update to keep you busy at home! Keep up to date with the news while you’re at home by watching Newsround! You could have a go and some of the online quizzes too.

English – read the short text ‘Discover the Occupation of Guernsey’ and answer the questions on the other side. Why not have a go at researching Guernsey and making an information leaflet about it!

Maths – Lesson Four- Decimals as Fractions 2 – Follow the discover questions to help before completing pages 139 to 141 in your Power Maths books. Follow this link and watch a video for help https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=50Fq1lIbqFs

Spelling Practise – make a word search or crossword using your spelling words. Ask someone in your house to find the answers.

Reading – Read some of your reading book and I have added the next few pages of the Phantom Tollbooth.

Art – drawing from one point perspective. Watch the you tube tutorial and try to create your own name in the same way! Colour it in brightly and display it in your house.

Other ways to keep busy today:

  • Look up some home science experiement and give them a go. Follow this link for ideas: https://mommypoppins.com/kids/50-easy-science-experiments-for-kids-fun-educational-activities-using-household-stuff
  • Get outside and offer to do some jobs to help out your family. Maybe wash the car or sweep up all the leaves. You could use the leaves for a piece of art work.
  • As was mentioned yesterday, David Walliams is reading a different short story each day at 11am. Follow the link and have a listen. https://www.worldofdavidwalliams.com/
  • Remember ‘The body coach’ is posting live PE lessons the link on his page: https://www.thebodycoach.com/blog/pe-with-joe-1254.html

Have a good day!
