Good Morning! Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend.

Here is today’s work for you…

English

Today your task is to write a two-paragraph biography for a chosen famous person that you can research or know lots about already. Think back to the biography we wrote about William Shakespeare, what were the main parts of his life which were important to research.

‘Make £5 Grow’ Challenge

Keeping with the theme of money, we are setting you a challenge. If you were given £5 to invest in a small business what would you do.
Follow these steps to develop a product which may make a profit when sold. Each step could be recorded on a poster or a PowerPoint.

  • Product research: what type of product would you make? It could be a food? Or a craft? What’s already available out there? Can you find a unique product?
  • Develop your product: make prototypes (models, examples), draw up developing designs and come up with your final product.
  • Research prices to buy resources for your product. Where can you find the cheapest items? How many could you make with the resources?

Advertise your product. Make posters or a TV advert to sell your product, use persuasive or interesting language. Do some research online and see existing advertisements.

Have a good day,
Mr Stamp & Miss Bishop
