Good morning Year 1!

You are already half way through another week of home learning! Here is a reminder of your home learning tasks for today:

Maths 

Today you are starting a new unit- Division. Complete pages 26-28 of your maths worksheets ‘Making equal groups’.

The guidance below may help you!

English Task 8-

Write a set of questions about animals you would like to find out about. Where do you think these animals live? What do you think they eat? Remember when we write questions we need to use a question mark at the end instead of a full stop. Make sure you use your Super 6 in your writing!

Afternoon:

Maths Fluency: Counting in 2s,5s and 10s. Time yourself. How fast can you count?

Handwriting: See RWI letter formation worksheet to help you.

RE Task 2:

As our topic is Christianity, we will be carrying on this theme, with a specific focus on the Easter story. For this work please watch the video of the Easter story.

Easter Feelings – you may want to re-watch the above video before completing the worksheet.

Extra activities:

    • Today is international dance day! Why not try and make up a new dance routine to your favourite song?💃🏻 🕺
    • Explore Google maps! With help from an adult have a go at exploring Google Earth/Google maps. Can you find your home? Can you find Queen’s Park? Can you find our school? Can you spot Morrisons? Can you find Planet Play?🗺 🧭
    • Create a milk bottle elephant. Ask an adult to cut the top of a milk bottle for you and spaces for the legs. Add any materials or coloured paper you have. Here are some examples that some children made in school last week.
