Extra activity to keep you busy:

Today is International Nurses Day. This is an event that celebrates the contributions that nurses make to society. It is also celebrated on the 12th of May as it commemorates Florence Nightingale’s birthday, the founder of modern, day to day, nursing. This year is the 200th anniversary of her birth. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

Today it is important we celebrate all the fantastic nurses we have in our country who work extremely hard, especially over the past few months.

Why not make a thank you card for a nurse you know or create an updated thank you poster for you window at home!

If you have any questions about the work or would like to send us any pictures, please ask an adult to email:

Miss Lee at class3@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk

Miss Carney at class4@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk

Have a lovely day!

Miss Lee and Miss Carney 🙂
