Happy Easter Year 1!

We will not be setting daily home-learning tasks over the Easter holidays as we think you deserve a well-earned break. However, we will be setting you a pre-learning task for you to complete over the holidays, along with some additional Easter/Spring activities to keep you busy.

Our next History topic  is ‘Holidays from the past’ and our new Geography topic is ‘Blackpool’.

For your Easter task we would like you to create a model based on anything related to one of the two topics (or linked to both). This may include a model of a beach hut, a lighthouse, Blackpool beach in a shoebox or a model of a Punch and Judy booth for example. You could use recycled packaging, paints, play-dough, lego, your own drawings and any other materials you would like to make the model.

Please see below for ideas – you can keep it simple or make it a bit more complicated:

Once you have finished your pre-learning task, please upload a picture of it to this blog post or send a picture to your class email to show us what marvellous creations you have come up with!

Remember to be as creative as you can!

Extra Easter/Spring activities to keep you busy:

  • People often celebrate Easter by eating chocolate or making buns and cakes. Try making a sweet treat to share with you family. We would love to see a picture of any treats you make!
  • Make your family, friends or neighbours Easter cards to show them you’re thinking of them.
  • Find out about the Easter story and draw a picture to show what happened.
  • Design your own Easter egg. Boil an egg and decorate it with paint or felt tips. You can make up the design or make it into your favourite character!

Remember to email your finished task to your class email:

Enjoy your Easter break and stay safe!
