Who did Jesus say he was?

This week in RE, we have been learning about the different ‘I am…’ sayings found in the Bible.

The Gospel of John records that Jesus makes seven statements beginning with the words I am. Each of these “I am…” sayings help Christians to understand Jesus’ ministry in the world. 

Miss French showed us different objects that represented the sayings and we had to guess what we thought Jesus could be saying about himself. Then she told us the actual sayings, which are:

• I am the bread of life
• I am the light of the world
• I am the door
• I am the good shepherd
• I am the resurrection
• I am the way, the truth and the life
• I am the true vine

We then recorded these sayings with our own pictorial representations.
