Which food does yeast like the best?

In Science, we have been learning about micro-organisms (living things so small they can’t been seen with the naked eyes). One of these micro-organisms is yeast. We learnt that when yeast ‘eats’ if produces gas, so we decided to conduct an experiment to see which food yeast liked best.

We mixed yeast with several food stuffs (coffee, sugar, salt, flour, rice and oil) and put it inside zip lock bags. We then observed what happened to the bags. As you can see, the result was quite obvious…
