In Year 5 we have been focusing our learning in RE around the question. Why do some people believe in God? We have spent this half term learning about Christianity, what they believe about God and how God might guide their every day life.

This week we talked about what people know about God and what questions people might ask about God such as Who is God? Or has any one seen God?

These questions are very difficult to answer but good ones to discuss even if you are an atheist or agnostic it’s important to listen to different viewpoints and appreciate what is being said.

Later in the lesson we looked at similes used to describe God. These include God is like a light …. he shows us the way, God is like my mum, he cares for us. We then came up with our own similes which we are very creative!
