As part of our work as a Rights Respecting School, we have today started work on the ‘OutRight’ campaign. The children have learnt about what Climate Change is and how this can affect the children’s rights.

OutRight is UNICEF UK’s annual children’s rights campaign that empowers children and young people to speak out about children’s rights. It’s a campaign by children, for children that helps them to promote and protect children’s rights in the UK and around the world. This year’s theme is climate change and how this affects the rights of children all over the world.

The children made good luck cards to send to the Secretary of State for Energy and Net Zero, Claire Coutinho, ahead of her visit to COP28 – the United Nations Climate Change Conference – later this month. These cards will be collected and posted by the RRSA steering group next week.
