Our New Class Read – Private Peaceful

This week in class 13 we have started a brand new class read. This term we are going to be reading a classic written by Michael Morpurgo, Private Peaceful.  The story is based on the life of a World War One soldier reminiscing about his life before the war. This book will link with the children’s history lessons.

Before we began reading, we used our predicting skills and looked at what the title could tell us about the story inside the pages.
