This week, class 7 have started a new unit in maths: multiplication and division.
One of our lessons focused on arrays.
Arrays can tell us two multiplication facts such as:
3 x 4 = 12 and 4 x 3 = 12
o | o | o | o |
o | o | o | o |
o | o | o | o |
We also learned that multiplication is commutative. This means that you can write the numbers for a multiplication in any order and you will still get the same answer.
Can you see what multiplication facts these arrays are showing?
