Today in Classes 11 and 12, we joined with the rest of the country in marking Remembrance Day to remember those who had lost their lives at war in an effort to secure our futures.

In assembly, we learnt all about why we have Remembrance Day and why we wear poppies. We also made a our own poppies and then placed them around our soldier. We then participated in the national 2 minutes silence.

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them – For the Fallen by Laurence Binyon
