Class 9 had a fantastic day today celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. They all came dressed in red, white and blue and spent the day learning about their allocated decade – the 1970s.
We learnt some key events that happened in that decade and produced some psychedelic art inspired by the ‘hippie’ movement of the early 70s. We then looked at some 1970s objects and tried to work out what they were.
After lunch we were joined by Class 10 and we watched ‘The Aristocats’, a Disney film released in 1970 and enjoyed afternoon tea with scones, Victoria sponge and biscuits.
