Good Morning everyone! 😊.

Here are the activities we would like class 5 and 6 to complete today.

Children can begin their morning with ‘Joe/The Body Coach’ who is posting live 30 minute PE lessons on YouTube every morning at 9am.  Follow the link on his page: https://www.thebodycoach.com/blog/pe-with-joe-1254.html

English – On Monday children should  have planned a character description for Mrs Twit using the A5 worksheet by writing adjectives underneath the picture of Mrs Twit to describe her appearance and personality.  On Tuesday children were asked to create expanded noun phrases using these adjectives. Today children can put these into sentences using conjunctions (and, but, or, because, when, if, that) to describe Mrs. Twit (For example, Mrs Twit is horrific because she hits people with her walking stick.). You have been given lined paper if needed.

Reading – Read a few pages of one reading book and use the comprehension questions linked on the class page to check children’s understanding.

Maths fluency – Play hit the button and practice your number bonds. https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button

Maths – Lesson Three  – Number SATS questions – Children to answer questions 7-12 on the worksheet for Wednesday (see picture for guidance).

If you are stuck or can’t remember how to work out the answer, don’t worry! Just have a go and try your best!

Spellings – Practice your spellings by reading the word, writing it without looking, and then checking. Don’t forget to tick or fix!

Please see the ‘Year 2 Home Learning Overview’ post from Friday 20th March for Geography, History, ICT and Science expectations.

Other ways to keep busy today:

  • It’s going to be another sunny day – why not do some gardening?
  • Play a board game

Keep updated daily for home learning reminders, helpful tips and more fun activities to keep you busy and motivated!

See you all very soon! Don’t forget, you can add a comment to let me know what work you have done. We’d love to know how you’re getting on!

Miss Powers and Miss Sharp 😊
