Good Morning everyone! 😊.

Here are the activities we would like class 5 and 6 to complete today.

Children can begin their morning with ‘Joe/The Body Coach’ who is posting live 30 minute PE lessons on YouTube every morning at 9am.  Follow the link on his page: https://www.thebodycoach.com/blog/pe-with-joe-1254.html

English – Yesterday children should  have planned a character description for Mrs Twit using the A5 worksheet by writing adjectives underneath the picture of Mrs Twit to describe her appearance and personality. Today children can write sentences using expanded noun phrases to describe Mrs. Twit (For example; Mrs Twit has a ghastly, glass eye). You have been given lined paper if needed.

Reading – Read a few pages of one reading book and use the comprehension questions linked on the class page to check children’s understanding.

Maths fluency – Play Coconut Odd or Even https://www.topmarks.co.uk/learning-to-count/coconut-odd-or-even to help practice finding and recognising odd and even numbers.

Maths – Lesson Two  – Number SATS questions – Children to answer questions 1-6 on the worksheet for Tuesday. If you are stuck or can’t remember how to work out the answer, don’t worry! Just have a go and try your best!

Spellings – Have a go at using your spellings in a sentence – write the spelling in a different colour to the rest of your sentence.

Please see the ‘Year 2 Home Learning’ post from Friday for Geography, History, ICT and Science expectations.

Other ways to keep busy today:

  • Make a bookmark at home to keep track of your reading.
  • Write a diary entry about what you have been doing so far this week.
  • Create a funky dance to your favourite song for even more exercise

Keep updated daily for home learning reminders, helpful tips and more fun activities to keep you busy and motivated!

See you all very soon!

Miss Powers and Miss Sharp 😊
