Just before we move onto the magnets side of things in our ‘force and magnets’ topic, we needed to take a quick look at what might interact with a push or pull force. This interaction happens on different surfaces and it is called friction, meaning some surfaces are easier to move along than others.

We came up with 5 surfaces to test (one of which was wet) and used some special forcemeters to measure the newtons it took to pull the bucket along.
