As our new topic in Linked Learning is all about how the Earth shakes, rattles and rolls, we have been looking closely at Earthquakes. We discovered the Earths crust is made up of lots of tectonic plates that are actually moving around quite a bit!

In order to visualise how the plates move around, we used slices of bread and acted out the 3 plate boundaries:

– divergent

– convergent

– transform

In order to really get involved in an earthquake experience, we even practised how we would respond to one by running a safety  involved getting underneath something solid like a table and covering our necks and heads with our hands.
