Class 6 had a fantastic day at Rochdale Fireground Museum, this trip consolidated our knowledge of The Great Fire of London and gave us an amazing insight into the life of a firefighter in the 1600s compared to today! James and David were wonderful with the children, making us laugh and teaching us lots of important facts. We loved using the water squirters, we even had real water to shoot! The interactive fire engine was brilliant and we all enjoyed sliding down the pole like a real firefighter! After lunch, we got to explore and dress up on a real fire engine! We now know all about the hazards and safety regarding fire, we appreciate what firefighters do for us and we are Great Fire of London experts!
