Robinwood Day 2: Valley Group
Today Valley Group (children from Classes 11 & 12) have taken part in archery, climbing, canoeing and a dungeon challenge.

Here are some pictures from Valley Group’s Day 1 activities at the Robinwood Centre. So far we have enjoyed Piranha Pool, Crate Challenge and Trapeze. Valley Group also won the evening’s group activities!
After reading lots of different, interesting biographies all based on various famous authors lives, we continued by identifying key features. Before we write our own next week, we ensured everyone knew the layout and presentation features of a typical biography.
We begin our new learning today re visiting the purpose of using programmes like excel. We visited prior learning and discussed key vocabulary such as column, row, cell, function, navigate and a few more. We created some simple calculations using the function buttons provided.
Class 11 have continued their learning journey exploring states, properties and changes in materials. Yesterday’s lesson involved an investigation into how to reverse the process of changing the state of soluble and insoluble materials.
Class 12 started our last day before Christmas with a delicious class breakfast. With a choice of toast, pancakes waffles, milkshake and juice everyone was very happy! Merry Christmas everyone have a safe and enjoyable holiday!

In RE, we have been looking at the stories and teachings of Jesus and how they guide Christians today. In today’s lesson we focused on the meaning of forgiveness, parables of forgiveness and then explored scenarios and acted them out.
In French this week, class 12 were having conversations about sports and which are their favourites.
