The children have have enjoyed exploring in our science tuff tray, investigating whether the magents attract or repel objects then sorting them according to whether they are magnetic or not!

As we have been learning about Peru we had a Spanish themed morning today. We listened to Spanish music and had a go at flamenco dancing! We practised saying hello and goodbye in Spanish. Then we made some potatas bravas and paella and did some food tasting!
The pods on our bean plants were now ready to pick this week! We estimated how many pods there were on the plants then we pulled them off the plants. We enjoyed picking the beans out of the pods and then we cooked them and had them in our Spanish Read more…

Today the children asked to wash the bikes so we got out sponges and some soapy water and set up a bike wash for the children to go through. Some children even made price tags and signs for ‘Harwood Park Bike Wash!” The children really enjoyed working together Read more…
On Monday all the children in Early Years went to Smithills Open Farm for their educational visit. It was a glorious sunny day, the children’s behaviour was exceptional and everyone had a fantastic time. A huge thank you to our lovely parent volunteers for their help.
We have been trying to keep cool in the recent warm weather so we had a paddling pool party! There’s nothing better than nice cool feet!
