Class 9 were lucky enough to be given a rugby masterclass last week. Two coaches from the Rochdale Hornets came to Harwood Park to teach KS2 some basic rugby skills. For many of the children this was an introduction to rugby.
The boys and girls of Year 3 and 4 continued to practice their football skills in the weekly after school club today with Mr Stamp and Miss Wolf. Teamwork is improving and there was some fantastic penalty taking – a good sign with Sports Day coming up!

Harwood Park entered a team in to a county-wide football tournament in Castleton today. Every school was allocated a country and would compete in a World Cup consisting of 32 teams. Class 9 have been putting their rounders skills to the test recently in P.E. The children have mastered the rules of the game and developed their abilities in catching, throwing, batting and fielding. The games are competitive and the teamwork is strong!
