Bird Feeders
As part of our closing science lesson to saving the environment, we decided to create our own bird feeders! It was great fun and we can’t wait to see all the birds we get.

Today in science we looked at ways of saving the environment. We made a list including planting seeds, turning off lights and picking up litter. Once we had made this list, we went around school seeing what we could do from the list.
We had a great National Poetry Day today, as we created our own narrative poem all about the Iron Man, our class book.
In RHE, we practised working together and communication to build different towers! It was super challenging as we weren’t allowed to touch the cups.
We had a great time today. We started by making some simple circuits and then decided to build on them! We made a giant circuit and it didn’t work, so we spent some time problem solving and we finally got it working!
Today in DT we concluded the practical part of our topic by making our own pizzas. We couldn’t have done it without all the preparation and sampling we’ve done over the last few weeks. A few of us will definitely be making our own pizzas at home.
We had an amazing start to our music lessons this week by trying out a new instrument, violins! We had a go at playing 4 different notes and even got to play a composition called “trick or treat”.
Wow! What started as a simple filtration lesson, ended up going into awesome microscopic science! We started with filtering some dirty water and because we finished that so quick, we got the microscopes out and compared how clean each sample was. We had an awesome science lesson today! We started with creating our own classification keys by answering yes or no questions about the animals our partner had put on our heads. It was great fun and we had some really interesting animals!
In our first Stem club session, we dived into the sugar content of drinks! We were shocked to discover that bottles actually hide how much sugar is in a bottle by only saying the grams in 100ml rather than how much is in the bottle. so after doing some quick Read more…
