In class 2 we have begun to use our phonic knowledge to write sentences. We helped each other sound out the words that we needed and began to think about capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. 

In reception we have been exploring the season Autumn and made handprint hedgehogs after looking and discussing animals which hibernate. 

We went for an autumn walk around the playground and collected some autumn leaves. We looked and discussed all the different colours that we could see and why the leaves change colour. 

In class 2nwe have been looking at 3D shapes this week. We went on a shape hunt around our classroom looking for 3D shapes in the environment. We then looked at some 3D shapes and then named and described them. 

Class 2 have been working super hard this week representing numbers 1-10. Children worked in teams to make the number which was on their bowl using lots of different maths equipment. 

In class 2 we have been learning about 2D shapes. We have learnt all about 4 shapes: triangle, square, rectangle and circle. We have been counting the shapes sides and corners. 

We have been mixing colours in class 2. We chose 2 different colours, painted the colour onto our hands and then rubbed them together to see what colour we made.
