Minibeasts
Our topic this half term is all about minibeasts! We have been exploring different minibeasts and we even went for a minibeast hunt in our outdoor area. We found lots of spiders, ladybirds and snails.

We have been working hard in Maths doubling numbers. We hunted for dominoes in a tray and identified the number we were doubling. We then doubled the number by counting all of the dots together and matched the number to the correct number card.
Class 2 have been working really hard doing addition in maths. We made 2 groups using numicon pieces and stated the amount in each group. We then combined the two groups together to get the total amount and recorded it on our white boards.

Over half term, class 2’s home learning challenge was produce a picture/ model of animals that you find at the farm. Class 2 produced some amazing models of the farm! A lot of thought, effort and time went into them. Well done!

In class 2 this week we have planted our own vegetables after learning that eating vegetables can keep us fit and healthy. We planted Broad Beans in our Early Years garden. We are looking forward to watching them grow!
