This morning, the Friends of Harwood Park held their first coffee morning. Staff and parents enjoyed a chat and a coffee. Thank you to everyone who attended. Our next event is the teachers v parents netball match on Thursday 21st June. Please come along after school and support us.
This afternoon we learnt how to make a basic spreadsheet using Purple Mash. We can now copy and paste cells and find the probability of an event happening.
Auditions were held this afternoon for the main parts in our summer production High School Musical. Pupils from Years 5 & 6 worked hard learning lines and songs from the show for their audition. This afternoon 5 members of Year 6 took part in the annual Mathletes tournament held at Siddal Moor. In the first round they competed against St. Luke’s. Heap Bridge were the opposition in the semi-final. We played against St. Michael’s in a tense final, winning by just one point. A Read more…
Year 6 have been learning how to find the area of rectangles and triangles. They had fun investigating!
Year 6 have been investigating different types of comprehension questions. They had four types: retrieval, vocabulary, inference and organisational. Working in pairs they sorted questions into the correct categories.
