Here are the activities we would like you to complete today.
As part of your daily exercise this morning, create your own work out routine – it must last at least 10 minutes.
Reading – Read a few pages of one reading book and use the comprehension questions linked on the class page to check children’s understanding. Please make sure you record any reads in the reading record as usual.
Fluency – Complete the Summer 3 Arithmetic test. Ask an adult to set you a timer of 10 minutes. Take your time with each question and remember it is better to have a guess than leave a question blank. Good luck!
Maths – In your Power Maths booklet complete the ‘end of unit check‘ lesson . Please find the worksheets below – Textbook questions -Page 212-213 and Practice book questions – Page 155
English – Yesterday you were asked to imagine you had just discovered a brand new planet and explain what it was like. Using your ‘design your own planet’ worksheet from yesterday we would like you to write a letter from space to someone in your family or a friend telling them about the new planet you have discovered. Use the slides below to help you with writing an informal letter.
Spellings – Practice week 3 spellings (look in your pack to see which ones you have been given)
Science – Complete Growth and Survival worksheet 6B. It asks you to draw a heathy meal on the plate and label the foods you have included. Think about which foods are good for your body and which foods are not.

- Year 2 children now have their own account on Timestable Rockstars. Why not earn some gold coins and play with your class mates in some friendly competitions. You should have received an information sheet in your pack. Your username will be the first 3 letters of your first name and the first 3 letters of your surname. Your password will be your date of birth. For example, if your name is William Smith and your date of birth is 13th April 2013, your username and password would be – wilsmi and 130413.
- Design and draw a new musical instrument. How would you play it and what will it sound like?
