Good Morning everyone! 😊.

Here are the activities we would like class 5 and 6 to complete today.

Children can begin their morning with ‘Joe/The Body Coach’ who is posting live 30 minute PE lessons on YouTube every morning at 9am.  Follow the link on his page: https://www.thebodycoach.com/blog/pe-with-joe-1254.html

Or why not try out some of the movement and mindfulness videos on  GoNoodle – https://www.gonoodle.com/

Reading – Read a few pages of one reading book and use the comprehension questions linked on the class page to check children’s understanding.

Fluency –  Complete the Summer 1 arithmetic test. Ask someone in your family to set you a timer of 10 minutes. Take your time and if you are stuck, move on to the next question and come back to it at the end.  Also, remember it is better to have a guess than leave any questions blank! Good luck!

Maths – In your Power Maths booklet complete the ‘Recognising a quarter’ lesson .  Please find the worksheets below along with the discover guidance to help you if needed.

Science – Complete growth and survival worksheet 2B using the information sheet to help you. The aim of this worksheet is to find out about the different ways in which animals reproduce.

Other ways to keep busy today:

  • Write isolation letters/cards to your neighbours to cheer them up. Draw them a picture, write them a poem or just say hello.
  • Make your very own dream catcher to hang up in your bedroom using card or a paper plate and cotton wool/string.
  • #Heywood Rocks – On your daily exercise, look for & collect stones and rocks you could paint. Decorate them with bright, colourful pictures and positive messages – place them around your neighbourhood for others to find! (Remember to maintain social distancing rules while doing this.)

Keep updated daily for home learning reminders, helpful tips and more fun activities to keep you busy and motivated!

See you all very soon!

Miss Powers and Miss Sharp 😊
