Good Morning everyone! 😊.

We are missing you all lots! Don’t forget you can comment on the blog or ask an adult in your family to send us an email to let us know how you are getting on.  We would love to hear from you!

Here are the activities we would like class 5 and 6 to complete today.

Children can begin their morning with ‘Joe/The Body Coach’ who is posting live 30 minute PE lessons on YouTube every morning at 9am.  Follow the link on his page: https://www.thebodycoach.com/blog/pe-with-joe-1254.html

Or why not try out some of the movement and mindfulness videos on  GoNoodle – https://www.gonoodle.com/

Reading – Read a few pages of one reading book and use the comprehension questions linked on the class page to check children’s understanding.

Fluency –  Complete set B of Mad Maths Minutes (division or multiplication).

Maths – In your Power Maths booklet complete the ‘Understanding whole and parts’ lesson .  Please find the worksheets below along with the discover guidance to help you if needed.

English – Read the text and answer questions 14 – 17 of the Year 2 Reading Assessment Paper 1.

Spellings –  Ask an adult in your family to test you on your spellings and see how many you get correct. Don’t forget to tell them to mix them up! Good luck.

RE – Judaism.  Yesterday you were asked to have a go at retelling the creation story and explain how this links to why Jewish people celebrate Shabbat.  Today we would like you to look at how Jewish people celebrate Shabbat (we have discussed this previously in class so we would like to see what you have remembered!) by designing an advert for a Shabbat party.  Think about what they would wear, eat and the tasks/activities that would take place.

Here are some links to help you:

Other ways to keep busy today:

    • Redesign the cover of your favourite book. You can do this by drawing, colouring or painting it. You could create a scene from playdough or Lego and take a photo of it in front of a piece of paper with the book title on. Or you could use fabric and props like these examples:

Keep updated daily for home learning reminders, helpful tips and more fun activities to keep you busy and motivated!

    See you all very soon!
