Good Morning everyone! 😊.

Here are the activities we would like class 5 and 6 to complete today.

**Please can children and adults leave a comment on the blog to let us know how you are getting on with home learning and so we know who can/cannot access the blog. Thank you!**

Children can begin their morning with ‘Joe/The Body Coach’ who is posting live 30 minute PE lessons on YouTube every morning at 9am.  Follow the link on his page: https://www.thebodycoach.com/blog/pe-with-joe-1254.html

English – On Monday you came up with adjectives to describe Mrs Twit’s appearance and personality, on Tuesday you created expanded noun phrases with these adjectives and on Wednesday you put these into sentences with conjunctions to describe Mrs Twit.  Today, we would like you to put all of this together to make a character description for Mrs Twit (just like we did in class for Mr Twit). Don’t forget your super 6! – Capital letters, full stops, sit letters on the line, cursive handwriting, finger spaces and careful spelling. Remember to also use commas if listing more than one adjective and include conjunctions in your sentences.

Reading – Read a few pages of one reading book and use the comprehension questions linked on the class page to check children’s understanding.

Maths fluency – Play hit the button again but practice your 2’s 3’s, 5’s and 10’s multiplication this time.  https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button

Maths – Lesson four – Scales SATS questions – Children to answer questions 1-6 on the worksheet for Thursday. If you are stuck or can’t remember how to work out the answer, don’t worry! Just have a go and try your best!

Spellings – Play some games to practice your spellings.

Please see the ‘Year 2 Home Learning Overview’ post from Friday for Geography, History, ICT and Science expectations.

Other ways to keep busy today:

  • Try some guided meditation – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtYIQiXyrsE
  • If the sun is shining again see if you can help an adult do some gardening!
  • Because children are being encouraged to stay at home, some are creating rainbows to put in their window for others to spot! If you haven’t already, create your own rainbow and display it in your window to spread some joy!

Keep updated daily for home learning reminders, helpful tips and more fun activities to keep you busy and motivated!

Please can children and adults leave a comment on the blog to let us know how you are getting on with home learning and so we know who can/cannot access the blog. Thank you!

See you all very soon.
