Good Morning everyone! 😊

I hope you’re enjoying your home learning activities so far this week.  Here is a reminder of your home learning tasks for today:

As part of your daily exercise this morning, create your own work out routine – it must last at least 10  minutes.

Reading – Read a few pages of one reading book and use the comprehension questions linked on the class page to check children’s understanding.  Please make sure you record any reads in the reading record as usual.

Fluency Complete set A or B of one of the fluency tasks.  Some of you do not have a sheet with Set A or B, please just choose one of the worksheets provided to complete (addition, subtracion, odd and even numbers, multiples of 2, 5 10)

Maths – In your Power Maths booklet complete the ‘Using number facts‘ lesson.   Please find the worksheets below along with the discover guidance to help you if needed.

English – Complete pages 8-9 of Reading Paper 1 (My Teacher is From Outer Space).

Spellings – Ask an adult to test you on this weeks spellings (Week 4 – look in your pack to see which ones you have been given) Good luck!

RHE – Using the Earths Resources matching game, find out what the earth’s natural resources are for making things.

Other ways to keep busy today:

      • Year 2 children now have their own account on Timestable Rockstars. Why not earn some gold coins and play with your class mates in some friendly competitions. You should have received an information sheet in your pack.  Your username will be the first 3 letters of your first name and the first 3 letters of your surname. Your password will be your date of birth. For example, if your name is William Smith and your date of birth is 13th April 2013, your username and password would be – wilsmi and 130413.
      • Make a dream catcher using the outside of a paper plate or cardboard and string/thread.  You could then decorate it with paint, felt tip pens, feathers, tissue paper and/or sequins.
      • Why not learn some British Sign Language greetings or learn how to spell your name using BSL?

Keep updated daily for home learning reminders, helpful tips and more fun activities to keep you busy and motivated!

    See you all very soon!
