Good Morning everyone! 😊.

Each day we will blog and put on the website the tasks we would like class 5 and 6 to complete as well as some other fun activities/suggestions to keep everyone busy!

Children can begin their morning with ‘Joe/The Body Coach’ who is posting live 30 minute PE lessons on YouTube every morning at 9am.  Follow the link on his page: https://www.thebodycoach.com/blog/pe-with-joe-1254.html

English – Last week we wrote character descriptions for Mr Twit using adjectives and conjunctions.  Today children should plan a character description for Mrs Twit using the A5 worksheet.  Children should write adjectives underneath the picture of Mrs Twit to describe her appearance and personality.

Reading – Read a few pages of one reading book and use the comprehension questions linked on the class page to check children’s understanding.

Maths fluency – Count in your 2s, 5s and 10s with John Farnworth on BBC supermovers.  Follow the link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/supermovers/ks1-maths-counting-with-john-farnworth/zbct8xs

Maths – Lesson One – Number SATS questions – Children to answer questions 1-6 on the worksheet. If you are stuck or can’t remember how to work out the answer, don’t worry! Just have a go and try your best!

Spellings – Write your spellings out in different colour pens!

Please see the ‘Year 2 Home Learning’ post from Friday for Geography, History, ICT and Science expectations.

Other ways to keep busy today:

  • Make a bookmark at home to keep track of your reading.
  • Draw Gregosaurus or a sausage dog with Rob Biddulph.  Rob is also doing live drawing lessons every Tuesday and Thursday at 10am.  All you need is a piece of paper and a pencil! Follow the link: http://www.robbiddulph.com/draw-with-rob
  • Because children are being encouraged to stay at home, some are creating rainbows to put in their window for others to spot! Create your own rainbow and display it in your window to spread some joy!

Keep updated daily for home learning reminders, helpful tips and more fun activities to keep you busy and motivated!

See you all very soon!

Miss Powers and Miss Sharp 😊
