It is also the first day of a new month! We are in May already!!! We can’t believe it!

Thanks to those who have been in touch via email to let us know you’re okay – it makes us smile and means we don’t have to worry about you as much. 🙂

Here are the activities we would like you to complete today. 

Try something different for your daily exercise today with spell your name PE!

Reading – Read a few pages of one reading book and use the comprehension questions linked on the class page to check children’s understanding.             

Fluency –  Complete the Summer 2 arithmetic test again and see if you can improve your score from Tuesday! Ask somebody in your family to set you a timer of 10 minutes! Good luck!

Maths – In your Power Maths booklet complete the ‘Counting in halves‘ lesson .  Please find the worksheets below along with the discover guidance to help you if needed.

English – Read the text and answer questions 18 – 20 of the Year 2 Reading Assessment Paper 1.

 

RE – Judaism.  Today we would like you to explore Jewish practices at Chanukah. Create a poster in response to the following question: How do Jewish people celebrate Chanukah? Here are some links to help you:

Other ways to keep busy today: 

      • Make your own bookmark so you never lose your page! There are loads of fantastic, creative ideas on this website or you could make a cute, animal corner one as shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReyHJOoVrAw 
      • Why not try and make up a new dance routine to your favourite song?
      • Take some time out and finish your day with some Cosmic Yoga.
