What am I? National Poetry Day

Today is National Poetry Day and in Class 5 we have been writing riddles. A riddle is a list of clues to help the reader guess what the answer is. We all chose to write about different animals, from Turtles to Sheep.

As a class we came up with this riddle, can you guess what I am?

I slither around the long, green grass,

I use my red tongue to smell,

My skin is shiny and scaly,

I have no arms or legs,

What am I?
