Class 5 have been looking at toys from the past. We looked at how different they were from the toys we have now and we read the instructions and played with them to see what they were like. The children had lots of fun and told me which was their favorite one to play with.
We talked about how it would have been our grandparents or great grandparents that would have played with these toys. They also learnt that past means a long time ago, and present means now.
This week in history we have been learning what it was like in the Victorian days during the railway boom. we went back in time and took a visit to the seaside on the train. Read more…
