In PE we have been practicing jumping in a variety of different ways! Children demonstrated that they have got lots of stamina as they jumped for 30 seconds continuously and forward and backwards over a spot for 20 seconds. We talked about the importance of cushioning our knees when we land by landing on two feet.  We  also practiced jumping using our arms to help power us forward.

We ended the lesson with a game of squash the spots! In groups of 6, children had to take off from one spot and land on the next. If they got some of their foot on the spot they scored a point. They then had to run back to their line for the next child to have a go.
