This week Class 1 have been learning about Remembrance Day and the significance of the poppy. We discussed why we wear poppies on Remembrance Day and the children made their own to display on a wreath. We also read a beautiful poem about poppies signifying the end of the war and a hope for a peaceful future. Class 1 held a two minute silence today to remember all the brave soldiers who fought, and are still fighting, in wars today.
