Today, we had a workshop with our visitors Azeem and Michelle. They brought Dex the Dinosaur along to show us lots of aids and objects relating to disabilities. We discussed the objects, such as hearing aids, guide dogs and the long white cane, and how they are used. Michelle then read us a lovely children’s book related to disability.
Azeem plays for the England blind football team around the world! He brought along a football and blindfolds for us to shake the ball and pass it to our friends in the circle, saying their name before passing.
Azeem inspired us and taught us that challenges can be overcome and we can do anything we put our mind to!
