A few weeks ago, in Class 5, we elected our school council members for this year. The children all voted for one boy and girl based on a speech that was read to the whole class. This was a chance for pupils to explain why they wanted to be on the school council and why they were the best candidate. The vote was done fairly and the children all had fun taking part in the election.
It has been a few weeks now and our elected councillors, Isla and Athar, attend weekly meetings on a Friday morning before school. The rest of the class enjoy their return to class, where they give us updates on what has been discussed that week.
