Pumpkin exploring
Nursery have been exploring. They have been cutting, feeling and describing the pumpkin. It was lots of fun feeling the gooey inside of the pumpkin!

Nursery have taken the opportunity to develop our counting skills while exploring Autumn. The children counted the conkers and shared the conkers with each other. They discussed what would happen if we took one away and what would happen if we added one.
In nursery we have been developing our fine motor skills by joining in with some funky finger activities.
In nursery we have been developing our fine and gross motor skills to support and develop our early writing skills. We have enjoyed threading and making purposeful marks.
Nursery have been experimenting with the different musical instruments and they worked together to make a rock band. The children banged, tapped and stroked the different instruments to hear what sounds the instruments made and then they played the instruments together singing along to different nursery rhymes.
The children in nursery have been exploring the numicon as part of our maths lesson this morning. The children made marks using the numicon and touch counted the holes in the numicon.
Today nursery have been outside exploring Autumn. We have been finding leaves that have fallen on the floor and discussing how the leaves have changed colour. We then went inside and did some wonderful mark making by leaf printing.
Some of our boys have enjoyed accessing our reading area this morning in nursery. The children independently went in the reading area and showed each other books and discussed what was happening on each page.
Nursery have been mark making outside making large circles with the chunky chalk. This is helping to develop the children’s gross motor skills and early writing skills.
Nursery have been focusing on developing their gross motor skills. The children enjoyed making large circles with the ribbons outside. Developing gross motor skills is very important in supporting the children’s early writing skills.
