Children in Classes 1 and 2 have been enjoying the challenges that we set up in different areas of the classroom. These challenges link to our topic of ‘Who lives on a farm?’ And help us to practise the skills we have learnt.
We managed to achieve perfect 100% attendance again this week! Well done to everyone in Class 1 for your fantastic team effort. Keep it up!
Children in Class 1 and 2 have enjoyed being able to handle and care for our chicks this week. The children have helped to take care of the chicks by cleaning their box, feeding them and giving them fresh water.
We had 4 fluffy surprises waiting for us when we got into school this morning. The children have been fascinated by our new arrivals and were lucky enough to watch a 5th chick break out of its egg!
During half-term we had an exciting delivery to our mud kitchen. This week we have been busy using our scoooping and pouring physical skills, maths to discuss capacity and imagination to create ‘mud pies’ ‘chocolate pancakes’ and ‘chocolate fudge cakes!’ Yum Yum!
Some very special eggs have been delivered in Early Years today! We can’t wait to meet our new baby chicks later this week and learn all about them. We will keep you updated with their progress as the week goes on so watch this space!
Children in Reception and Nursery have been enjoying making mud pies, chocolate cakes, soups, potions and much more in our lovely mud kitchen!
We have been practising counting beyond 10 and looking closely at teen numbers. We have been counting and making teen numbers using numicon, looking carefully at the digits and understanding what they mean. Here some children have been making teen numbers independently in our Maths area.
