Yesterday we had a practise of the egg and spoon race in preparation for Sports day! We tried really hard not to drop the egg! We cheered on our friends and talked about the importance of taking part and not always being the winner!
This week in Nursery we have started to learn about creepy crawlies! We pretended to be like spiders, caterpillars and baby ladybirds and practised moving around the climbing frame in different ways!
We were delighted to discover that our bean plants have grown during the half term and have thrived in the lovely weather!
The older children in Nursery have been working really hard in their phonics sessions. We have been practising our early reading skills this week. We have been segmenting and blending the sounds in simple 3 letter words and having a go at word building. We have really impressed Mrs Bal!

We have got some very exciting news to report! Our beans have started to grow! We were delighted to discover little shoots 🌱emerging out of the compost this afternoon! We have been looking after them well. We will keep you posted on their progress! 😁
Yesterday in the Nursery we had a go at using the class camera. Mrs Bal told us how to turn on the camera and take a selfie! We certainly have some budding photographers!
In Nursery we have introduced a star chart. The children start on the yellow star and have to make their way to the gold star by making good choices. When they reach the gold star they receive a certificate and a prize! Well done Michael for being the first one to Read more…
