Exploring Shadows

Class 8 have been learning about light and shadow in Science this term. We have been experimenting with torches to see why shadows are formed and how to change the shape and direction of them.

Gymnastics

Class 8 have been practising moving around at different levels and creating a flow of movements. We have enjoyed experimenting with different movements including the caterpillar, the bear and the crab.  

Special Write

Class 8 have tried so hard with their special writes this week, writing instructions for making their Stone Age stew. We have been using a text map to orally rehearse it and it’s really paid off. Read Grace and Husna’s instructions and maybe try and make your own at home!

World Poetry Day

Class 8 wrote a beautiful poem to describe Autumn. We first went outside to look for signs of the new season and together wrote a descriptive poem about the changes we can see. We then performed it with actions and gusto. Read Husna’s poem to see what we found.

Co-operation in Class 8
