For safer internet day, two digital leaders from KS2 delivered a very important lesson for us all about staying safe online. We learnt all about what we can do to keep ourselves and others safe when using the internet.

Today we had a special visitor who came into school to tell us all about the Islam faith. We looked at why certain things are sacred to the Islam faith, such as the Qur’an. We also looked at how Muslims pray and other artefacts that are important to the religion.
This week we have been learning how to log on to our computers using our username and password. We have also learnt how to name and save our work!
Today we were very lucky as we watched a pantomime performance. We loved joining in with the characters and some of us even got picked to come on stage!

Today we worked practically to investigate what happens when it rains. We watched a short video about the water cycle and why it rains. We then used shaving foam and blue food dye as pretend rain clouds and rain to understand that when clouds get full of water it rains!
Today we looked at why understanding the weather is important. We then watched a real weather report and learnt about how we can have different weather in different parts of the country. We then worked in pairs to create our own weather report .
This week we have used Talk 4 Writing in our English lesson to retell the story of Dogger. We created our own actions for different parts of the story. This will help us in our writing tasks next week!
