Nursery have been developing their communication and language skills by talking to each other and joining in with exciting role play activities. The children have been talking to each other and with teachers about the farm animals, where they live, what they do and what noises the animals make.

Phase 1 phonics – rhyming
In nursery we have been developing our rhyming skills. We have been matching objects together that rhyme, for example, cat and bat. This is also supporting the children’s communication and language and listening and attention skills.

Nursery’s Christmas Parties
The children had great fun during their Christmas party. We had two parties in nursery, one for the beginning of the week children and one for the end of the week children. We sang Christmas songs, joined in with party games, did pass the parcel and had delicious party food.
