Our chicks have started to hatch!
We had 4 fluffy surprises waiting for us when we got into school this morning. The children have been fascinated by our new arrivals and were lucky enough to watch a 5th chick break out of its egg!

Some very special eggs have been delivered in Early Years today! We can’t wait to meet our new baby chicks later this week and learn all about them. We will keep you updated with their progress as the week goes on so watch this space!
Children in Reception and Nursery have been enjoying making mud pies, chocolate cakes, soups, potions and much more in our lovely mud kitchen!
We have been practising counting beyond 10 and looking closely at teen numbers. We have been counting and making teen numbers using numicon, looking carefully at the digits and understanding what they mean. Here some children have been making teen numbers independently in our Maths area.

As part of our topic of ‘Where does food come from?’ We have been thinking about healthy and unhealthy foods. In class 1 we sketched different fruits and then added colour using chalk. The children created some beautiful pineapples, melons, kiwi fruits, oranges and lemons!

The cold and soggy weather has not stopped children in Class 1 and 2 from enjoying some of our new outdoor resources. Children have been busy building, balancing and role-playing outside today!
