Good morning Year 6! We hope you’ve all collected your new home learning packs from school. If not, please do so as soon as possible. They contain work for the next three weeks, taking us up to the half-term holiday. Please note that this week (Week 3) states 24.4.20 when it should be 04.520 so each worksheet should be dated one week ahead. If you have any questions about the timetable or need any help with the work please comment on the blog or ask an adult to email us.

Here is a reminder of today’s tasks:

Reading book – 15 minutes

English SPAG Task (Questions and Question tags)

Add question marks for questions and question tags on the worksheet. A question tag is a question added to a statement, exclamation or command that invites the other person to agree. For example, It is Wednesday, isn’t it?

Power Maths page 45 – 47 Problem Solving – Properties of shape (1)

These pages of Book C will recap your prior knowledge of angles including angles on a straight line, angles in a triangle and angles in a quadrilateral.

Top tip: Remember angles on a straight line add up to 180 degrees. Angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees and angles in a quadrilateral (such as a rectangle) add up to 360 degrees.

Spelling practice – The constant l

Test yourself section from Monday’s worksheet.

RHE – Amazing Me!

Each day this week you will be completing a worksheet to think about how amazing you are! Today’s lesson is to fill in the Amazing Me! Worksheet. Think about all the wonderful and unique things about yourself to complete your worksheet. You could also draw a picture of yourself and colour the boxes in. You could also colour in the balloons from Monday’s session and stick these worksheets somewhere to make you smile.

Other ideas to keep busy:

Make a cute sock bunny! All you need is an old sock (a large one is easier), stuffing material such as rice or cotton balls, bobbles or elastic bands and something to decorate it. Here’s a guide to follow:

We would love to read any comments below to let us know what you’ve done today!

From Miss Dytch & Miss McGowan 🙂
