Good morning everyone! We hope you are well and have had a lovely weekend!
Here is a reminder of today’s tasks:
- Read your reading book for at least 15 minutes.
What have you been enjoying reading recently? Share in the comments – would you recommend it to your classmates? If you’ve finished your reading book and don’t have anything at home, check out https://stories.audible.com/start-listen for free access to most children’s audiobooks or use Epic to get 30days free access to a range of books and texts to read on your tablet/phone/device. - KS2 English SAT Buster 1 test per day.
- Grammar Book pages 32 – 33 Hyphens Click here to find out how to use hyphens.
- Power Maths pages 21-22 Angles in Polygons
(There is a sheet in your home packs to explain this. Also, click here and here for full step-by-step instructions. - Arithmetic Test 3
- Science – Create a factfile of an animal from our Evolution topic.
Describe the animal’s characteristics and how these characteristics are an advantage.
Follow this link to help you refresh what we’d been learning about this in class.
Other things you may want to try:
- Famous children’s author and illustrator, Rob Biddulph, has been holding step-by-step drawing classes to draw some of his most famous. Why not have a go? Click here to watch his videos.
- Listen to a free children’s story on audible – I highly recommend ‘Kid Normal’ by Greg James and Chris Smith. Click here to listen.
- Go on to Pobble365 – what picture have they posted today? Does the picture inspire you to write? You don’t have to just continue the story they have started. You could use the picture to inspire you to write any genre – a newspaper article, a wanted poster, a letter, diary entry etc.
- David Walliams is still reading a story per day on his website. Have you managed to listen yet? Let us know if you have.
Don’t forget to keep in touch – comment below and let us know what you’ve been up to. What activities have you enjoyed so far? Is there anything you’d like to do more of? Let us know.

Hi Josh,
We haven’t done it yet. It’s from week 2 of the home packs we sent home with you (we’re now on week2). Which bit do you think you’ve already done? I can try and clarify.
Nice to hear from you.
