Good morning Year 6! Welcome to your last day of your first week of home schooling. We hope you have managed to find the tasks helpful and exciting.
Here is a reminder of today’s tasks:

Reading book – 15 minutes

KS2 English SAT Buster 1 test per day

Grammar Book pages 44 – 45 Mixed practice

Power Maths page 18 – 19 Angles in triangles (3)

There will be a sheet in your pack with support to find angles. Today’s task uses your knowledge of angles in an isosceles triangle. Remember all angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees and two angles in an isosceles triangle are equal.

Here’s some more guidance for today’s task:

Arithmetic Test 2 – See how many questions you can complete in 30 minutes.

You could use a calculator or ask an adult to check your answers. You could also email your teacher for the answer sheet when you have completed the test.

PSHE – As part of our topic of being a Global Citizenship, the next lesson is to focus on our use of water.

Create a poster for our PSHE big book about how to reduce our use of water. There are top tips and advice on the United Utilities website.

Other ideas to keep busy:

  •  Some children have created posters to stick in their window for key workers (such as NHS workers) who are still going to work. These posters will uplift them and make them smile! They could include a thank you message or a rainbow to brighten their day.
  • Create a spring related art piece. This could be a spring meadow, sketches of your favourite baby animals or one detailed flower in bloom. Use whatever creative resources you have such as paint, felt tips, collaging (using old magazines) or even playdo.

Don’t forget you can join in with Joe Wicks PE lesson every morning at 9am and listen to David Walliams reading a short story each day from 11 am. You can find the links below:

Check the blog each day for your learning tasks and other interesting activities to keep you motivated.
We would love to read any comments below to let us know what you’ve done today! If you missed yesterday’s work, it’s still available on the blog so make sure to go back and catch up.

If you have any questions about the work, please email:
