Good morning Year 6 and happy Friday! It’s the end of another week of Home Learning and we hope you’ve enjoyed the activities this week.

The activities planned for today are as follows:

English

  • Read your reading book for at least 20 minutes today. Find somewhere quiet and comfortable if you can and take the time to relax and enjoy your book. You could make a bookmark so you don’t lose your page!
  • English Task – Non-chronological report
  • Write a paragraph about the animal’s habitat (where they live). Try to use relative clauses using commas or brackets to add extra information.
  • Finish your report with a brief conclusion about your animal and add a picture.

Maths

  • Maths Worksheet – Calculate angles
  •  Remember that angles on a straight line add up to 180 degrees and angles in a circle add up to 360 degrees.
  • You may notice on your sheet the sign for a right angle which is 90 degrees.

Extra activity

  •  Ask an adult to help you follow a healthy recipe. This could be a healthy lunch, a meal for your family or some treats such as cupcakes. We would love to see any of your cooking!

  • As always, if you need any help, or would just like to get in touch to let us know how you’re getting on, we’d love to hear from you. Either comment below on the blog (you might even get a response from a friend) or ask an adult to email your class teacher. We look forward to hearing from you!

Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂
