Hi Year 3,

I hope you are well and are enjoying learning at home with your family. As always, please see below for your tasks today plus some extra activities to keep you busy:

  1. Joe Wick’s is still continuing with his PE workouts on his YouTube channel but if you prefer Cosmic Yoga or Zumba, continue with that.
  2. READING, READING, READING! (15 minutes)
  3.  Maths Task 9 – 5 arithmetic questions and 5 reasoning questions – Click here for today’s arithmetic questions and Click here for today’s reasoning questions
  4. Sight and sounds photo sheet 4 – remember to be as descriptive as you can. Can you include any similes, metaphors or personification?
  5. Instead of spelling today, or as well as, have a go on the Daily Ten and see if you can beat your adults at answering the questions – click here – This will help with your maths fluency skills.
  6. Continue with your Geography project focused on mountains and volcanoes.
  7. Finish the day with some handwriting in your handwriting book. Practise whole words and your joining strokes in between. Make sure you don’t take your pencil off the page.

Other activities to keep you busy today:

  •  Have a go at making this salt dough keepsake. Have all your family make a handprint and paint each in a different colour. Find a salt dough recipe here.
  • Whilst you are waiting for your salt dough to bake, why not listen to an audiobook. There are lots of free children’s stories to find here – Audible
  • Watch a Ted Talk – these are great if you need a boost and want to feel more motivated. 35 Must-Watch Ted Talks for Kids
